Keeping the routine

It's been intense campaign work the last few days. Tuesday we walked about three miles doing house over house. By noon you are totally brain dead from the heat and humidity. I got nailed by mosquitoes through my clothes where I didn't have repellent on. I probably have at least 20 bites on my back. The rest of the day you feel exhausted. Actually Reggie got a few good calls that day. And maybe one bible study. He plans on coming to the memorial and will know his work schedule by then.
Last night we met Jordan. He is need greater who has been living in Lethem. Actually we will be staying in his apartment when we go out there. He has been in Lethem for a year and loves it. He headed home for Australia this morning. We have met so many hardworking young brothers here. it is so encouraging to see them giving their all.
Today was more of the same except I went on 3 bible studies with Jennifer after morning service. On the last study I could hardly think I was so overwhelmed with the oppressive humidity. We worked territories called Now or Never and Perseverance. That's exactly how we felt. It was good to get home and shower and sit in the breeze.
After I recovered I made a local favorite. Chicken and potato curry. We have a new favorite. I will definitely be making more of that. We can't overeat as we only have two small pans. Just enough to make a small meal for two. Haven't had the camera out for a few days so just news today. Hope your campaign is a little more comfortable than ours. But can't wait to see how many come, I'm sure all the effort will be worth it. Love to all R&K

  2. Well as much as I enjoy reading about all of your adventures I'm much more interested in this brother form Australia ;)HAHA! Totally joking but I had to say it ;)
I miss you guys and I'm glad you've been having good calls although dealing with crazy heat! The campaign is going great for us but we are running out of invites! We've been having good calls with it though so thats really encouraging.

  3. Sorry about the heat, it has been pretty pleasant here. Typical Oregon weather though, Sunny one day, rainy the next. We have a vast majority of our territory covered, but as "Prairie Dawn" mentioned, we are almost out of invitations. We are definitely gonna order more next time. Hope all continues well for you down south! If I hear of a good mosquito cure, I'll let you know. :)
