This is a typical fishing boat that they use on the rivers and ocean. Robby, a bible studies husband, told me they go out as far as 7 miles on the ocean
Here are the lovely bikes that brought us to the beach today. It is about a two mile bike ride from the house. It's nice to race past the mosquitoes!
We have been in Guyana 3 weeks today and we finally made it to the Ocean. It actually looks better than we had been told. Perhaps because the tide is out. We heard it can be a couple of feet of mud. But we were actually able to ride the bikes on the beach. The bikes make life so much easier for us. It's not such a production now to go get some produce or groceries. One of the bikes has saddle bag baskets. Perfect for shopping. Notice my beach wear. The Guyanese are very modest. I'm pushing it here. Love to all, R&K
Yeah, the beach doesnt look all that bad. Great to hear the bikes are working for you! That would obviously be my choice of transportation! :) Now you can pack a basket full of literature with you. Keep the pics and stories coming, look forward to it every day.

We just took 'Clarences' horse "Snip" to her new 20 acre home on Spring Creek Kim Altig owns her now and she looked so happy when she was released with the herd of 13 other horses. It was a beautiful sight and her name is Bella now. Kim is using her in her kid camp and horse clinics. Rides her bareback. I told her who the trainer was and she remembers you, is glad you put a good foundation in her....Kim also said she was glad that a good trainer started her (:
