Lazy Day

Not a lot to report. We had a lazy day yesterday. Couldn't do laundry because the water tanks were just filled. We found out why we were getting rust stains on our clothes. When the tanks are filling they stir up the sediment on the bottom, rust. Now we know to wait a day after filling to do laundry after having ruined white clothing. Our neighbor behind us is named Light. He is of east indian decent, the one who has given us coconuts. Yesterday he gave up a bowl full of mangoes, they are finally coming on. These are the kind that you shred and soak in water to make juice. So I started a big jar of juice last night. Very refreshing on these hot days. It is very cloudy this morning. The rains should start becoming more frequent in the next couple of weeks. The kids say we won't like it when the rains come because frogs will be everywhere. Sounds like one of the plagues of Egypt. We take Thursday off to study as most of you know, and with having left overs for dinner and no laundry it was an uneventful day. At the meeting however a brother let me know that he has just become engaged. Wayne one of our ministerial servants just got engaged to Calima a sister from Georgetown. I really like her, she is in the ASL congregation and has been trying to tell me that I need to check it out. A sad note is that Mahaicony will be losing Wayne as he will move to Georgetown after the wedding. Another sad note is that the wedding is not until June so we will miss it. But we are happy for them. There are not a lot of brothers in the truth here so weddings don't happen that often. I'm sure it will be a very happy occasion.
We are also losing our voltage regulator. the one we are using belongs to the couple in Lethem and they've asked us to bring it. So in the next two days we need to find one to purchase. funny how the country runs on 220-240 and the appliances are all 110. so to run our refrigerator we will have to make the purchase. Probably 50-80 dollars. Well time to get ready for service. I'll try and remember my camera. Love to all R&K
